Halfway River Bridge

The Halfway River Bridge is located 45km NW of Fort St. John, B.C. on Highway 29.  This is part of several realignments required for the Site C hydroelectric project.  Highway 29 connects Hudson’s Hope to Fort St. john as it runs along the north side of the Peace River.  The realigning of this segment is required as the existing highway will be flooded thus requiring the highway and bridge location to be moved.  Rapid-Span fabricated both the structural steel girders and precast concrete deck panels for the 1km long bridge at our plant in Armstrong, B.C.
