Construction of a new seven-lane, 500 m (1,640 ft.) long, 3 span, cable-stayed bridge between the cities of Pitt Meadow and Port Coquitlam. The cable-stayed steel section is 380 m (1,247 ft.) long and the concrete approaches are 120 m (394 ft.) long. Cable-stayed bridge project is part of the Gateway Program, which seeks to improve traffic on the roads and bridges of metropolitan Vancouver. Rapid-Span was involved in the fabrication of the steel structure of the bridge (approx. 2,600 tons) including 117 main girders and supplying precast deck panels, pier fender panels, and EPS wall panels. Bridge was fabricated as part of a joint venture with Canam-Bridge.
